Coaching can help turn around some behaviours that have worked against us in our careers. Sometimes executives have patterns in behaviour that are limiting or impeding their otherwise strong technical performance, or that don’t fit the company culture. The executive needs new ways of thinking about challenges and a bigger behavioural “repertoire” for certain difficult situations.
- A senior leader faces a union strike and the management team he leads is disengaged and looking for work elsewhere. He has a habit of losing his temper and is working longer and longer hours. How will he turn around damaged relationships?
- A General Manager sees so much that still isn’t right or working well enough in her organisation. The harder she pushes the further behind she gets. She patiently outlines to staff what could be done better and how to do it, yet they become less and less dedicated. How will she stop fixing and start motivating?
- The Head of Compliance has a wealth of knowledge with a long history in the organisation. His company wants answers to new dilemmas now and they don’t want to listen to an unfavourable answer. How will he balance a sound answer with business effectiveness? How will he, a thoughtful, reflective, and responsible person, make an impact in the lion’s den?
