An executive promoted to the C-suite must create space at the Board room table not only for himself, but for his newly-created function while also restructuring. He faces down political challenges and succeeds in increasing the collaboration of the fellow Board members so that they weather unanticipated regulatory change and successfully launch a joint venture. He succeeds in this tumultuous first year while also facing personal health issues. In his second year in role, he led a large restructuring as the company joint venture was bedded down, and also led on a transformation of data analytics in the UK while working with the parent company in another country. The coaching engagement began as transition coaching, and naturally evolved into sounding board coaching throughout the time the executive and coach worked together.
